Greek Week 2010
The Activities Directors from all 4 Greek Councils have come together to start a Greek Life Activities Board (aka The Greek LAB) this year! This board is comprised of 1-2 members from every chapter and is responsible for proposing, picking, planning, promoting, and reviewing all Greek life activities (all-Greek and council specific) including currently established events such as Greek Week. Rather than having delegate and exec boards for Homecoming and Greek Week, we break the board into various committees to cover all of the year's activities. Board members all have equal opportunity to get involved and take leadership roles.
San Diego State University's Greek Week is the biggest Greek Philanthropy of the year. Hundreds of members from the Greek community unite through friendly competitions in efforts to raise funds and awareness for a selected beneficiary.
Leber’s hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON)
LHON affects the cells within the optic nerve, which is the specialized cable transmitting visual information from the eye to the brain. When these cells stop functioning properly, this results in severe loss of vision. If the cells within the optic nerve do not recover and then die, loss of vision unfortunately becomes permanent.
Get involved! Greek Week 2010 invites EVERYONE to join in on this movement. .
