A Rho Gamma is a recruitment guide for Potential New Members going through Fall Recruitment. Rho Gammas are specifically chosen and trained to be a mentor and friend. Responsibilities include leading potential new members through the process and being a resource to them 24/7 during recruitment week as well as communicating with the Panhellenic Recruitment Team.
Ashley Deichler, former Rho Gamma and now Vice President of New Members, said, “Being a Rho Gamma changed my college experience entirely for the better. Becoming a counselor for girls going through recruitment was both a rewarding and a difficult experience. Every day was a new situation that I had to tackle, both good and bad; and every day I felt the unbreakable bond I had developed with my group that would last throughout my college years. Long days, not enough sleep, and a mass amount of tear, good and bad, was all worth it to see the potential new members find their homes. If I had to go back I would do it all over again!”
To become a Rho Gamma you must have gone through formal recruitment as an active member of your chapter to ensure you are aware of the recruitment process from both perspectives. Rho Gamma training will take place the week before classes begin for Fall 2017. Most importantly, you must have a passion for the Greek community that goes past individual chapters and focuses on how each chapter makes our community great!
Applications are now open and will close February 22nd at 10pm!
